There are plenty of commercial mosquito repellent in the market but not all of them are safe to use. Some chemicals can be toxic and cause more harm than good to a person’s health. However, nature has provided us with plants that can naturally repel mosquitoes. Discovering what these plants are should help make us understand their capacity to repel insects.

Mosquitoes are not only annoying pests, they are also dangerous, disease-carrying insects. Come the summer and spring seasons, mosquitoes can multiply by the thousands and many people rely on mosquito repellents to protect themselves. The downside of mosquito repellents, however, is their inclusion of toxic ingredients like DEET. It’s high time to look into a safer and more natural mosquito repellent: plants.
