Customers appreciate the product's design and size. They find it fits well in their landscape. However, opinions differ on its effectiveness against mosquitoes.
Customers have different views on the mosquito repellent's effectiveness. Some find it works well, keeping mosquitoes inside the unit and explaining the life cycle of mosquitoes. Others say the auto sensor doesn't work for mosquitoes because the ambient light doesn't drop enough.

If I could have given it less than one star I would have. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, and the mosquitoes here defy imagination. I have bought, as of this purchase, 6 different machines that all claim to have great effectiveness in capturing mosquitoes. None of them, YES, NONE OF THEM, have been able to deliver on their performance claims. UV lights? Hawaiian Mosquitoes laugh at/ignore them. Scent attractants? Same story. CO2 emissions? Makes no difference. I deployed this latest purchase 48 hours ago; total mosquitoes caught in 'net'? 1. Yeah that's right, one, single, solitary bug in 48 hours, which was probably old and stupid, because believe me, the little bastards are present in huge numbers at all hours of the day and night. Meanwhile, every time I go outside to check the 'catch' , I get bitten 5-7 times in just a few seconds. As I write this I have 2 bites on my back, delivered THROUGH MY T-SHIRT the last time I checked the machine, that still produce a maddening itch 20 minutes later. I'm unhappy, angry, and fed-up. Any manufacturer that ACTUALLY DESIGNS A MOSQUITO KILLING MACHINE THAT WORKS will be able to split their stock every couple of days, because they are a huge, nasty problem worldwide, and still awaiting an effective solution.
This gadget really works and looks nice outside, we even leaved out during the storm and is still working like the first day. Keeps the mosquito inside the unit and it is easy to clean.
Has not caught any mosquito or even bugs. The mosquitos are thick enough to almost carry me off the patio, yet this thing has not caught anything. It is on constantly, installed as recommended, however nothing. The mosquitos are thicker then ever. $127 out the window and cannot even return it. Bought it a few days before the mosquito season, so too bad. Live and learn I guess.
We've been using the Koolatra's MK05 Champion Masquito Trap for about 3 weeks now. And I can't tell you how many insects we trapped in it, must be in the thousands. It works great.
We've had "The Masquito Magnet" for years before this and I've always had problems with it. I had to constantly purge the lines to keep it working, but not so with the Koolatra's Champion Masquito Trap because it's heat source is electric. There's no bother with Propane tanks.
I like the Koolatra's Champion Masquitov Trap much better, plus the cost of the unit was a lot cheaper.
Plus, I love the size. It's nice and small and sit's nicely in the garden. It almost looks like a lawn decoration. The "The Masquito Magnet" was this big overpowering thing sitting in the yard.
I guess though, the most important thing is how it works, and the "The Masquito Magnet Trap" works fantastic.
To put it mildly, if you buy this product you might as well take $150 out of your pocket and flush it down the toilet. I waited a couple of weeks but knew after a couple of days that this was a rip off. When I stand in my carport I have mosquitoes on me in about 30 seconds. The only time this thing attracts mosquitoes is when I stand next to it. This thing is a joke.
We have woods at the back of our cottage and water in the front. We bought one at the beginning of the season and left it on 24-7. It worked great! Our neighbors even noticed a difference when they came over for a campfire. They couldn't believe they weren't getting bit up because they haven't even been able to sit out on their deck because mosquitos were so bad. I just bought a second one for the back of the cottage next season.
